Interapt was selected to take part in the Royal familys recent visit to Louisville, and enjoyed a brief visit with Prince Charles as he strolled through a “Harmony Village” of exhibits at the African American Heritage Center.
Organizations from a variety of sectors in Louisville were represented, each involved in some way with promoting local healthcare, environment, food culture, business, government, or education.
When the Prince of Wales stopped by Interapts exhibit, CEO Ankur Gopal chatted with HRH about his team’s work with Google Glass developing a telehealth platform so that top-notch physicians anywhere in the world could connect with doctors and patients in rural, isolated areas of Kentucky, or even remote villages in Africa.
It was extremely exciting to meet His Royal Highness, along with seeing Gov. Steve Beshear, Mayor Fischer, and Ambassadors Barzun and Westmacott,” said Gopal. “Prince Charles was very gracious and very impressed with the technology we were building in Kentucky, and it was inspiring to hear a global leader be so passionate about creating a sustainable world.”

The Royal visit was covered all over the world, from national press like USA Today and the Washington Post, to across the pond at The Guardian and the BBC. Locally, our own Ankur Gopal got to chat about his visit with Prince Charles on WDRB.
