Interapt Represents Kentucky on KEI Trade Mission to United Kingdom

Interapt CEO Ankur Gopal was selected to accompany Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and KEI partners in London and Manchester this week.  The group will have the unique opportunity to increase commerce between Kentucky and the U.K. by building relationships and learning more about Europe’s more established markets.

According to the KEI website, the goal of the trade mission is, “to increase Kentucky exports which will lead to new Kentucky jobs and create diversified markets for Kentucky products.” Reiterating this goal, Governor Beshear, whom formed the KEI in 2010, writes, “Our goal for this KEI trade mission is to continue to help our companies reach new markets and strengthen their business models. We’re also proud to have cultivated a business climate that welcomes companies from around the world, including 32 United Kingdom-owned firms that employ more than 3,700 full-time workers in the Commonwealth.”

With electronics as a top U.S. export to the U.K., Interapt hopes to show the many ways it services a wide range of industries using cutting-edge tech. ”With almost every company incorporating more mobile and wearable technologies into their 2014-2015 strategy, Interapt will be showing how we have successfully delivered top-quality solutions in short timeframes to some of the world’s largest companies, and how we can do the same for companies in the UK,” says Gopal.

Gopal is humbled by the opportunity to represent both Interapt and the state of Kentucky saying, “We were honored to be asked to present our accomplishments in mobile and wearable technologies. Our goal is to discuss our capabilities in R & D in front of some of the UK’s biggest companies, proving that innovative hi-tech is not just done on the coasts, but has been done in Kentucky.”
